Referred Participant Resources

Notes on Expungement:
When a participant charged with a misdemeanor successfully completes RJCA, the case is dismissed. This does not mean that the charge is no longer on her/his “record”. Therefore, if someone (an employer or otherwise) wanted to find these records, they could. They would find that this person was “charged/dismissed” – which means that they were charged with “X” crime, but the case was dismissed. If someone is concerned about this record, she/he should get the record expunged, or sealed.
