Get Involved!
With community participation a cornerstone of RJCA, staff conduct outreach to involve neighborhood stakeholders in a number of roles: as conference participants (5 per conference on average), conference facilitators (15 in the pool at any given time), and neighborhood service supervisors. Volunteers also serve as translators and offender advocates, as well help with office work, special events and community outreach.
Ways to Get Involved:
- Observe: Come and see a conference
- Participate: Attend a community conference with a group of your neighbors to address incidents in your area
- Facilitate: Get training to guide community conferences
- Lead: Apply for a board opening or a committee position
- Interpret: Professional translators are paid to interpret.
- Identify service projects in your area so offenders can fill community needs
- Donate: RJCA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Checks made out to RJCA and gifts of stock are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law. Thank you!
